Tragedy of Our Wireless Commons

“… nearly all experts represent the interests and values of whose who employ them, mainly large corporations and government agencies.  Since the primary object of corporations is the maximization of profits for their shareholders, it is not surprising that most experts have only the choice of resigning or of coming to the defense of new technologies if these promise to generate profits, even if they may cause harm to society or the environment."  Michael Huesemann and Joyce Huesemann

Every wireless phone call, download, use of an app or period of ‘net surfing, causes toxic high frequency electromagnetic (EM) radiation to move at the speed of light through the environment. It travels from tower to tower, affecting living beings in its path.

Can we escape the long-term consequences of this invisible pollution when only a few of us perceive its short-term biological effects? Does our species have the right to pollute the biosphere with unnatural EM radiation, or do all living beings have the right to natural background radiation?

Individuals and governments are making choices and utilizing technologies that adversely affect all of life. This is the tragedy of the commons, an important topic introduced in this map. Thank you to Cindy Sage and Garrett Hardin.
